When Mouse's only friends and fellow club dancers go missing under mysterious circumstances, nobody at the club seems too concerned about them, and the police couldn't care less. Mouse and her constant sidekick Ugly (Keith Powers) quickly realize that it is up to them to dig up all the dirt and start the hunt for the culprits. Charles A mix of talent and low budget. I liked the feel of the movie and am glad I saw it! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Rich C A movie that keeps you entertained from start to finish. Excellent characters and acting throughout. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/05/23 Full Review Ian M I was really impressed with this movie. The lead actress was great, I have not been able to watch anything with her in it before and she did an amazing job as did her co star "Ugly". I hope both of them are able to do more movies. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/30/23 Full Review Jessie T Really enjoyed this! Cinematography and characters were great. A good feature debut! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/23/23 Full Review Brandon B Been keeping track of this one throughout it's production and when the trailer hit, my excitement for it was significantly heightened. So I went into it with some expectations and am pleased to say they were met. I dig when it's clear a filmmaker has a love for what they are creating and with DOOR MOUSE, it is clear that Avan Jogia is one such filmmaker. It's apparent in not only the film itself but the trailer, promotion, and poster design. The film itself is a cool modern Noire with a comic book asthetic weaved into it. Supported by well fleshed out characters brought to life by a stellar cast. It all feels like a gritty Noire comic book come to life and made for a great viewing experience. As said, there is a clear love poured into ever aspect of it and it shows. Highly recommend giving it a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Sabrina B A She go hard for the people she cares about. Even if that means life or death. Leslie Felperin Guardian It occasionally feels a bit like an extended music video, but what’s there is a bop and it’s watchable throughout. Rated: 3/5 Jul 5, 2023 Full Review Barry Hertz Globe and Mail A series of motions, bumps, swerves, dodges and turns, all deployed for a journey to nowhere special. Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A pulpy, neo-noirish, crime thriller with some great references to comic books and a very clever use of animation... Jul 3, 2023 Full Review John Serba Decider Door Mouse doesn’t have much to say, but plenty to show us. That’s something, but it’s not quite enough. Apr 19, 2023 Full Review Crockett Houghton Film Inquiry Door Mouse is a slick neo-noir that adds a lot to a genre that we don’t get enough of. Feb 7, 2023 Full Review Ferdosa Abdi Screen Rant If there is any justice, Door Mouse will garner the attention it deserves for being a well-defined narrative brought to life effectively.
