Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It feels like [the subject's] relationship with the director is either too close or not close enough. Mar 28, 2020 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety It sold me on the possibility just enough to think that if I knew someone who was battling a chronic addiction, I might recommend that they watch this movie. Mar 22, 2020 Full Review Matt Fagerholm RogerEbert.com What makes the film persuasive, first and foremost, is Adrianne herself, as we see her eyes shine with a newfound clarity once the haze of heroin has lifted. Rated: 3/4 Mar 20, 2020 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful A beautiful and harrowing film that shows addiction in a light we rarely see. Much of the documentary’s success is owed to the vulnerability and courageousness of Adrianne, who allows full access to the depth of her pain and struggle. Audience Member I loved this film! The journey of addiction is something that is hard to understand if you haven't been through it. This was a great eye into Adrianne's world. The use of psilocybin for depression and iboga for opiate withdrawal was fascinating and the results very positive. I believe natural plant based medicines are underused in our current societies and if you watch this film you will see they are super powerful and I believe should be available for all to use (under professional supervision). Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Heavy subject matter handled in a very respectful and informative way. A very important documentary in the context of how the war on drugs has only stigmatized and harmed users more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A fantastic documentary that really delves into the depths that addiction can take you to, but also shines the spotlight on plant medicine healing and the somewhat ‘unconventional' methods of treatment we have at our disposal. Excellent insights from the top experts in the field. It's essential viewing for everyone in my opinion, to open up the narrative of plant medicine healing to the mainstream, and may well chime more closely to the heart of those affected by trauma and addiction. Absolute gratitude to the creators and all those involved. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie was very informative and emotional. I love the raw honesty and the education I received while watching! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought Dosed was a wonderful movie. It gives hope to families with loved ones struggling with addiction. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Incredible movie. Truly shows the power of these plant medicines and their ability to revolutionize the way we think about addiction, mental health, and life itself.
