Audience Member Stunning cinematic portrayal of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's revolutionary social, political, economic, and religious revolution with the "untouchables" of India Rated 5/5 Stars •  Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member seldom we come across bold movies and one such is this for bringing out the true ideologies/intentions/movements/anti congress/anti gandhian faces of Dr.Ambedkar raw and clean....the 3hour movie brings in front of us the saga of Bhim's journey that starts from America,moves to London and in India through his revolutionary reforms, thoughtful protests,alternate stand during freedom movements,drafting constitution, till his conversion to buddhism....the movie depicts how Bhim stood out and was class apart from the other leaders and also justifies it....usually movies of these kind tend to be more like a newsreel/documentary without links -but thanks to the director -Jabbar Patel and screenwriter -(the namesake, missisippi masala,little zizou -fame)sooni taporewala for pulling out a clean movie... Kudos to the entire technical team...a special mention has to be given for the apt casting and the minute historical details that are not missed out..the clashes and the compromises between gandhi and Ambedkar are picturised interestingly....the powerful dialogues for the powerful man-classic....Mammooty at his best-no doubts,he's one of the finest Indian actors!! Indian Movie makers fall short in the genre of biopics as they tend to make the movie peppy for commercial purposes(eg-Asoka , Jodha Akbar , Nayagan ,Mangal Pandey).....but sure we can boost on this movie to be an authentic biopic...to add-epic biopic :-) INSIGHTFUL and INSPIRATIONAL-A MUST WATCH.
