Dragon Ball Daima is a love-letter to 40 years of an iconic series. While some of the writing can feel narratively thin, fans of the franchise will be in awe of the animation, voice acting and reveals.

DAIMA was a fun exercise in Toriyama flexing his more child-like adventurous side, but as we got closer to the end that melted away, descending into an admittedly well animated fight-fest, just like the original Manga this was created to celebrate.
