Dennis Harvey Variety Maintaining an admirably straight face, this fist-flying flashback is good fun for fanboy types who take its myriad absurdities with the requisite grain of salt. May 8, 2012 Full Review Ignatiy Vishnevetsky MUBI When it all gets pared down to characters confronting one another (and their own endurance) within a space, it takes on a certain kinetic grandeur. Jan 9, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com Where Regeneration showcased a filmmaker ready to pound some life into dreary formula, the ugly and bafflingly dull Dragon Eyes revels in clich, slowly falling asleep despite some gratuitously violent content. Audience Member Minha primeira tentativa não foi bem sucedida, dispersão e desinteresse… Em nova tentativa o mesmo desentusiasmo, o filme é feito de violência, algumas torturas, mas com roteiro desinteressaste… Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is actually better than rated by audiences here. Cung Le is good in this quasi-western martial arts film. JCVD is very good in a Miyagi like role. Peter Weller is good as a crooked cop. Some good elements. Some good fights. Doesn't all tie together to make a great movie but good for streaming. If you know Cung Le's UFC career you'll recognize a lot of his signature moves here. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review steve d I thought the story was weak and the characters uninteresting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great action and everyone gets what they deserve in the end. Van Damme and Cung Le do a great job especially since I have never heard of Cung Le. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member An annoying, loud action movie with nothing interesting to say. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a fairly watchable little action flick that I picked up cheap, and I got the $3 worth of enjoyment out of it, so no harm, no foul. A newly arrived stranger sets out to clean up the run-down neighborhood in which he has settled, whcih is about all you need to know. It's got some pretty decent martial arts scenes, though the oddly disjointed narrative technique is a bit distracting. Rental? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
