Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post Drawing Closer is a bittersweet romance that explores the meaning of life in the face of death while telling a beautiful love story. This is one of those movies that will stay in your mind long after you've finished watching it. Jul 13, 2024 Full Review Matt Donato Collider Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if you can wipe yours clean long enough to watch Drawing Closer and love torturing yourself with romantic "downers" as a treat, this is probably a winner. Rated: 3/5 Jul 2, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider It all strains credibility to its breaking point, but it also absolutely fits the genre... anyone putting on their flumpiest sweats and fuzziest slippers and firing up this movie know what they’re getting into, and boy, are they gonna get it. Jun 27, 2024 Full Review Daniel Hart Ready Steady Cut Drawing Closer aims for the heart but also provokes the mind as it entwines romance with the meaning of life. lilac l This is a tearjerker film with a wonderfully crafted plot created by Miki Takahiro. The cinematography was also incredible, the angles and the filters used allowed the emphasis of every emotion to be felt in each scene. Similar with the title, it's not just Akito Hayasaka who is "Drawing Closer" towards Haruna, but you will also be drawn closer to her in the movie for magnetic personality and sentimental backstory. It contains a bittersweet ending, however, it is wholesome and it felt like a big warm hug after a good cry. Further, It'll make you feel grateful for the life you have now. Moreover, it'll urge you to have hope and faith in every circumstance as you observe the lives of characters. I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good sentimental romance movie featuring youth, love, and friendship. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Renelyn L I just saw this movie on TikTok, it says that whatever I am going through, I should not watch this movie and I guess she was right because this movie literally left me sobbing, I ruined myself by watching this, it's so painful. This movie left something in my heart, something that I couldn't explain. I used to joke about death, I want to die everytime life is tough but upon watching this, Akito and Haruna made me realize that life is so precious, that I am lucky because I have a lot of time to spend with the people I love. It's like telling me that while I am asking God when will this suffering going to end, and I want to die already there is someone out there, begging God to give them a day, a week, a month, a year, or another hour to live. While I'm asking God to end my life, there is someone asking him to make them live a little longer. I'll never forget this masterpiece, this is something that I will never forget. If you need a good cry, this movie is the best choice. prepare yourself! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Johnathan L A movie that really makes you reflect on life and love, well portrayed and you can really feel the emotions of each character in the significant moments. Must watch for those looking for a down to earth , genuine portrayal of life , death and love. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Muhammad M One of the best tear jerkers movie! I've teared up 4 to 5 times and honestly it was worth it. If you like action scenes and fast pace movies then this movies is not for you. A movie totally for those who like to enjoy the slice of life and a slow romance while having a superb emotional rollercoaster! Pretty sure it's best to watch it aloneee or with your special partner that you know you can be vulnerable with as be warned, you will tear up along the movie & not just the climax 🥹 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review Skyla V Still crying, I strongly recommend tho <33 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Mahmudul H Life is Uncertain this movie made me feel that again..
