Yuri B This wasn't bad, not at all. Just another 90's rom com. I loved the cast, but I sincerely wish the script was fleshed out "a bit more". But honestly, there could be worse ways to kill 90 minutes of your life. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of my all-time favorite "love stories"...I just love this movie so much. I fell in love with it many years ago. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Ione Skye is a beautiful Wallflower. Proving that even the quirky black sheep of the family can live happily ever after. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this film. Ione Skye is a brillian actress. She doesn't get enough credit that she deserves. Great film a must see! Scott Tobias AV Club The chemistry between Skye and Astin is based entirely on grueling, non-stop referential dialogue, as if neither of them has forgotten a word of Kierkegaard, Tennyson, or Cobain. Feb 4, 2019 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle It's talky, clumsy and a bit trivial, but the talk is rarely dull, and there's an integrity about its clumsiness: It's harder to be smooth when you have things you really want to say. Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Stephen Holden New York Times Dream for an Insomniac is really a self-conscious modern sitcom that with its San Francisco setting suggests a pale shadow of Armistead Maupin's Tales From the City. Jan 1, 2000 Full Review John Ferguson Radio Times Filmed in a mixture of black and white and colour, this has enough good lines to keep you smiling and the young cast members deliver attractive performances. Rated: 3/5 Jan 3, 2019 Full Review Maitland McDonagh TV Guide A slight, sleekly polished debut feature propelled by a kinder, gentler Swingers vibe.
