The film fully embraces its corny tone, never pretending to be smarter or deeper than it actually is, and that honesty ends up working in its favor. What really makes it enjoyable is the chemistry between the two leads, who play off each other naturally and sell the relationship far better than the script probably deserves. The screenplay keeps things simple, focusing on a small cast and letting the characters breathe instead of piling on unnecessary subplots. The teddy bear element adds an extra layer of charm that fits the playful tone rather than feeling forced. The standout is Lauren LaVera, who proves she has range beyond horror and carries the film with ease and charisma.
