Based on the novel of the same name by Anne Cameron, this made-for-television drama follows the increasingly difficult life of Peter Baxter (Ian Tracey), an 11-year-old Canadian boy who is haunted by an unseen malevolent presence, leading to his being institutionalized. After escaping from the mental facility, Peter retreats deep into the woods, where he encounters a shaman (George Clutesi), known as a "dreamspeaker," who is willing to help him face his demons.
