If Hollywood is going to be indicted for making mindlessly violent action films, let them at least be as good as this one. Go to Full Review

Whether by design or otherwise, Dredd seems better-suited to a 2D home video presentation than to the 3D silver screen. Go to Full Review

I may have never seen a nonhorror film as relentlessly, brutally, and crowd-pleasingly violent as this skintight adaptation of the long-running British comic-book character. Go to Full Review

It is as ponderable in its entirety as in the sum of its parts. It is, fundamentally, a beating to the senses. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

When so many action films rely on shaky camera work and a seemingly rushed assemblage of shots strung together by a wired editor, Dredd is as calculated as its hero. Go to Full Review

A great sci-fi action film, one that hints at a broader, weirder world while maintaining a tight focus on the matter at hand. Go to Full Review

LimeySpud 11/03/2024 Captured the spirit of Judge Dredd perfectly. Brilliant adaptation of the comic strip. See more Andrew 01/24/2023 It was a wonderful re-release and should be seen by more people! See more christina w 01/24/2023 It was boring and a bit corny at times. Perhaps I dont have a full appreciate for this video game made movie but for it to be action sci-Fi it was not giving excitement or intrigue. Would not recommend. See more Rico D. @BoricuaKingRico 10h Much better than the first one and much more compelling. It’s worthy of being put in the rewatch category. See more Ernestas R @Calicifer 6d Dredd is one of those movies which picks its themes and tries to do it well. It's an unrelenting action movie. There is little complexity in it. World is brutal. Judges are total badasses. Movie delivers on everything really well and people who disliked are not its target audience. As with any targeted product, there are a lot of tourists, confusingly shrugging their shoulders and not knowing what is happening around them. What I disliked is that while criminals are unreasonably violent and often implies more violence through visions. Judges are way too few in number even when called for assistance. Nobody figures out that Defcon test was a fake. Somehow control room is undefended and unmonitored. Two judges who came for support were so incredibly slow and useless. They were just standing behind doors and when were told to go away, they went away like good little puppies. If we are trying to go by rule of cool, every side must remain cool and police force took a short end of a stick. See more Jack F @MovieFan111 Dec 4 I never saw the first one, and I won't bother with it. This one was weird, but it was all very cool. I'll always remember "Hot shots"!!!!!!
