Kent H Awesome Aussie surf film, well acted, directed and scripted. Set in the 1970's featuring some stellar performances by greats such as Sam Worthington. Loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review John B I enjoyed this movie and story it told about the real-life struggles that these brothers had from early on in developing a now world-famous surfing brand. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/23 Full Review SunschineJud R Nous n'avions aucune attente et avons été agréablement surpris. De plus, bon rythme dans l'histoire, pas de longueur. (langue maternelle!) We had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Also, good pace in the story, no length. (translate google) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Mike G Great little movie, cinematography is outstanding, actors are very good - sam worthington in anything - myles pollard stands out. It's got the typical narratives in it: love affairs, bad guys but overall it's a good story. But the real star is Western Australia !!! Watching it I couldn't help wondering why Hollywood hasn't done a remake of it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Sky M This Film Is A Future Cult Classic. Australian surf film with amazing waves and sets, never mind the negative reviews if you like barrels you will love this one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/21 Full Review Audience Member A mio parere uno dei migliori film sul surf degli ultimi anni. Grazie ad una buona sceneggiatura Ú in grado di unire le immagini ad una filosofia molto vicina a questo tipo di sport come quella hippies. Il tutto completato con una buona colonna sonora e degli ottimi attori che tengono bene la scena. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com The acting is quite good, natural and fresh, and the surfing footage is magnificent. "Drift," though, is a weird mix, and not always successful. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 7, 2013 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times This poor-surfers-make-good drama from Morgan O'Neill and Ben Nott relies more than it should on toned thighs and taut gluteals. Be grateful; there's nothing to see on dry land that's anywhere near as compelling. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 2, 2013 Full Review Lou Lumenick New York Post I'm a sucker for films with great surfing footage, let alone wacky '70s hairstyles. But this overlong, clich-infested Aussie period drama tested my patience. Rated: 2/4 Aug 2, 2013 Full Review Cris Kennedy The Canberra Times (Australia) The surfing scenes are exhilarating, the waves more terrifying than anything Eli Roth or James Wan could come up with. Rated: 3/5 May 23, 2016 Full Review Simon Brookfield We Got This Covered As has always been the case, well choreographed surf sequences are a delight to behold on the big screen, but also having always been the case, clich and messy drama is not. Rated: 6/10 Aug 4, 2013 Full Review Don Groves Film Journal International The surfing sequences are impressively filmed, but on dry land the unexciting narrative plods along to a predictable conclusion.
