Dennis Harvey Variety A middling real-time thriller that chronicles a fictive crisis for two Air Force personnel, who find themselves at loggerheads when they spot an apparent terrorist thousands of miles away on surveillance video. Jun 27, 2014 Full Review Mike D'Angelo AV Club Drones is the equivalent of an issue-driven movie about the NSA featuring agents who feel really creepy about spying on people. That's not the problem. Rated: C Jun 26, 2014 Full Review Travis Hopson Examiner.com While Rick Rosenthal's Drones has the balls to attack the issue head on, the lack of nuance in tackling a complex issue undermines his efforts and that of a game cast. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 28, 2014 Full Review Sam Fragoso The Dissolve Drones is in constant combat against itself, poorly balancing searing commentary on excessive drone use and rampant stupidity. Rated: 2/5 Jun 26, 2014 Full Review Prairie Miller WBAI Radio When horror movies and history meet. And with a disturbing and discomforting persistent dread, Drones is in no way standard entertainment, nor should it be. Or as Dirty Wars doc director Jeremy Scahill solemnly observed, 'You can't surrender to a drone.' Jun 25, 2014 Full Review Roger Moore Tribune News Service Taut, tense indie thriller that hurls humanity and morality against the disconnected video game style violence of drone warfare Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 24, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Drone Warfare or Video Games? Powerful, gripping drama with faultless acting from Mumford and O'Leary. SPOILER. The "iron" is only dropped when for Mumford it becomes personal. Okay, so O'Leary's role reversal isn't totally convincing, but this is a drama about ideas and the positions people take to adjust to their situations. And of course we are left to wonder was the target a terrorist? Cannot understand film's low rating on RT. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member utterly absurd propaganda film with no kind of ending Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm sure this movie set out to raise and deal with a particularly difficult issue about war, killing and killing innocents. Not sure it fully addressed it, but there is some drama and suspense in this portrayal. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely boring! No drone or any kind of battle in this movie. Just two stupid young solder who are incapable to do there job. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Drones is in constant combat against itself, poorly balancing searing commentary on excessive drone use and rampant stupidity. I say SKIP IT!!! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie seriously sucks. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
