Joshua Land Time Out An intimate parable of truth and reconciliation. Rated: 4/6 Apr 7, 2007 Full Review Manohla Dargis New York Times Gently and quietly told, Daratt (Dry Season) is an unassumingly political work that unfolds with the simplicity of a parable and the gravity of a Bible story. Audience Member A very good Chadian Movie .. Slowly moving but interseting.. Although it's end is somehow predictable .. but also impressive... I hope every African man watches this one :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I suppose much gets lost in cross-cultural understanding. The protagonist's motivation is not always clear to a non-African mindset, although eventually, you'll catch on. The acting appears wooden, deliberate and uninspired. At times the film moves excruciatingly slow. Opportunities to liven-up the storyline are missed. But, as I insinuated, this critique comes from somebody with a different cultural background. Half a star more for yours truly possibly missing some of the finer points. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that djibril lbrahim, ali barkai, aziza hisseine play good roles/parts throguhout this movie..i think that the director of this drama movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie its a really good movie with a good cast throuhgout this movie n its a really good movie 2 watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Subtle but at the same time imensley powerful story. Do we ever change? And should we be punished for the past if we have moved on? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This film has a high novelty factor coming from a seldom filmed country surrounding issues not many will be familiar with, but this doesn't matter as it is a well directed story which requires some patience from the viewer. A strong thought provoking revenge plot is complimented by some good cinematography. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member WEB-LETTERBOX. Extraordinaria película que aborda una de las premisas más difíciles y logra mantenerse creíble, todo el tiempo maximizando su estética cinematográfica.
