Audience Member Tried to catch up some beijing stories, ' waiting alone' starts stupid but red my eyes at the end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Very enjoyable story about a young man in Beijing who tries to win the girl, then succeeds, then has to realize that she's not the amazing woman she pretends to be. Great film, very funny, and an insightful look at what happens when a guy winds up falling for the completely wrong person. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member a chinese movie directed by a american boy who studied film directing in beijing. so the movie is a little bit different, in a good way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member My most favourite movie. I don't know how to express in english, because it's a idiom in Chinese. It's “意味深长”。 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Baby Gong and Bingbing Li ... if that's not enough, this is a surprisingly good contemporary love story from the mainland. It's hip like we don't usually see from there. Director Dayyan Eng is the first foreigner in the history of the Chinese academy awards to have a film nominated for Best Picture. The story is a familiar one: boy wants girl (Li) out of reach while his best friend (Gong) secretly wants him, but it's played well and Baby Gong is especially worth checking out.
