ashley h Duchess of Idaho is an okay film. It is about Ellen Hallet is in love with her playboy boss, Douglas Morrison. Esther Williams and Van Johnson give decent performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Robert Z. Leonard did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the music and romance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member One of Esther Williams better and most fun musical MGM spectacles. This time he heads to the snow capped mountain of Sun Valley. The lack of overdone swimming scenes actually benefits the film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member another williams' water vehicle Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Pleasant-enough MGM musical features Williams and Johnson in their fourth on-screen pairing, along with guest appearances by Lena Horne, Eleanor Powell and Mel Torme (as a bellhop).
