Duelle is the sort of bad bad movie which gives good bad movies a bad name. Wild horses mounted by Jonathan Rosenbaum could not get me back to see it again.

Wonderfully bizarre. It's somewhat nonsensical yet very compelling. Berto and Ogier are a pleasure to watch...

Rivettes stunning ode to feminism and film noir is rich in imagery that is filled with symbolic meaning. He throws you into this odd science fiction world without explination and leaves you with the tense power struggles between the (almost) all female cast to wade through.
Completely original and truly unusual.

Better than Noroit. Has the appropriate amount of weirdness for a David Lynch/Peter Greenaway fan. A commentary on the drug addled Eurosleaze discotheque crowd is bobbing very close to the surface of this one.

I love this movie. Super neglected jewel of a film.

Well I still have no idea what this was really about, but it's clearly a homage to film noir. There's something about the way the characters interact in this mystery that's strangely compelling to watch. The beautiful images of Lubtchansky and the diegetic music set a great atmosphere.
