Ronald H I watched this film in a state of horrified fascination. It's a deep dive into the lives of rural white trash, as gritty as it can get. It has a low budget look and good performances (Talia Shire and Barry Corbin have small parts---both outstanding), but there is an undeniable cleverness to it and an uncomfortable sense that the filmmaker is laughing behind the camera at what an offensive film he's making. I winced several times. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/25 Full Review David L I actually think it was a really well done film— it had a low budget vibe in some scenes but others were impressive. However I can’t get past the fact they depicted a fully nude girl whos character was supposed to be 12 or 13 years of age. I have no problem with a film detailing that storyline but to show someone who (the actor I can’t imagine wasn’t 18) is depicted as 12 or 13 (age was unclear) fully nude is a problem for me. Not to mention another scene that was nothing short of literal porn with the man having sex with the 13 year old girl. That is just straight up problematic and criminal. And the wildest part is the fact that they actually explore the fact that it’s wrong to have 2 wives and child brides while simultaneously depicting naked 13 year old girls getting raped. Weird. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/09/25 Full Review Audience Member An incredible movie. For fans of crime stories and small-towns, I truly recommend it. Suspenseful, thrilling, and a wild ride to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A solid "based on true events" movie that was shot well with good characters. Definitely recommend to someone looking for an easy mystery/crime watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Dunsmore is a compelling film, that examines the effects of living life motivated by fear and regrets. Both the characters and dialogue were intriguing, making it hard to pull my attention away from the film, while I was watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Cool movie about a good old small town murder in rural Florida! Didn't expect the ending at all and with a town full of motives I was left wondering who'd done it the whole time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
