Alan Jones Radio Times Once seen, it's never forgotten. Rated: 4/5 Oct 31, 2024 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A rather remarkable piece of horror mysticism... May 8, 2014 Full Review Felix Gonzalez Jr. DVD Review Dust Devil is quite simply a fascinating failure of a movie. It fails not for any lack of ideas, but because of intellectual overload. (The Final Cut) Jul 10, 2007 Full Review Scott Weinberg DVDTalk.com The flick doesn't do all that much for me, but there's little denying that some long overdue care and effort went into this DVD release. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 8, 2007 Full Review Chris Cabin Filmcritic.com there's something just so damn intriguing about this mlange of Spaghetti western iconography and African spiritualism Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 23, 2006 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Jul 28, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Lia M I love this movie ! It's the best film —> forever +++ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review justin t This looked beautiful. Everything from the red hues to the optical effects to the amazing sets and massive camera moves. Slightly weaker sound design with cheesy sound effects cues, empty audio-space, poor fidelity and disappointing lack of immersion. The story had some great ideas and some interesting themes raised. Some bits were also really exciting but the massive thing that let this whole film down was the bad pacing. It is just too slow. Too much goes on with nothing happening and then you forget what's going on when something does happen. Very pretty to watch but lacking good pace. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Cult classic by the great Richard Stanley, who remarked during filming that he felt like a general in charge of an army of traitors. The butchered cut approved by Miramax for cinematic release was a disaster, but the director's cut get's a lot closer to Stanley's extraordinary vision. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A quite intriguing mix, but I am not a fan of mysticism or that ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing visuals, camera shots, music, slow progression plot, African folklore and western mix. Acting Male Antagonist 4/5 very good job. Acting Male Protagonist 3.75/5 Acting Female Protagonist 2/5 Ending and some scenes are a bit of disappointment. Overall I would recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Half cooked, like all the Richard Stanley"s stuff i saw. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
