Patients at the Salvation Army's Toronto Grace Health Centre share personal stories and engage in simple pleasures, such as reading and spending time with friends. However, they have been admitted to the Palliative Care Unit, where the treatment aims to reduce suffering in terminal patients. While there is little hope for recovery, their reminiscences about the past and enjoyment of the present are reminders that death is a normal part of life, and that death can have dignity.

Audience Member The toughest film I've ever sat through, bar none. The amount of suffering depicted here is grand in scale, but the importance of the film was never lost on me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Having abdominal METS myself, I was a little nervous to watch the stark realities of this. My fear turned to acceptance as I found a documentary that has taught me more about dying than I ever expected. Even with my malignant cancer, I may have years left to live. This movie has strengthened my resolve to go out with dignity, humor, acceptance, and have no manacles of religion tying me down or muddying the clear waters. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Made on the basis that it may help the living, this documentary is just as much about living as it is about dying. A moving "actuality drama". Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member this documentary is very hard to watch. it is what and how we will all end up looking like and feeling. u see the last days months of these individuals....leading to their demise. and all are mostly natural causes. You can see death in their yellow stained faces. amazing documentary that has left a deep impression on my soul for the rest of my dyng days. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A brave film that boldly explores our deepest fear; a quiet death. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
