Audience Member Among the many unknowns there are treasures to behold. This movie was a pleasant surprise. The gorgeous mansion was an added bonus that gives the illusion of peace and security. The tenants however harbor a deadly secret one might never discover if their true motives weren't revealed. What made this movie so effective as a thriller was the true threat behind a vulnerable protagonist. One would think the main Villains threats would stop with the seemingly happy couple desperate for a child. But alas the truly disturbing presence from the abusive father to-be was much worse. A young girl trying to escape a potential life of physical and mental abuse running into the arms of an insane household somehow felt comforting in comparison. Despite being trapped within the confining walls of a lavish home with servants and home-care many could only dream of; gives the atmosphere an air of protection from true malevolence outside. The sweet,innocent nature of the main character are likeable and relatable. The entire time we want our heroine to succeed by achieving her independence and do what is best for Baby. We see her concerns and love grow towards the precious life growing inside of her. The bond that begins with being shared with strangers ends with her true love and desire for a stable, healthy family life. I was moved and impressed with the characters growth , courage and development. Just a very sweet film about overcoming fears of motherhood and the importance of selfless love and sacrifice for a child.
