Noel Murray The Dissolve The belated 1989 sequel Eddie And The Cruisers II: Eddie Lives! is clunkier than the original, and still more fun than it has a right to be. Kevin C Loved it and the soundtrack !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review gtahalestorm7583 Love this movie 💕💕💕 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good sequel and more great music Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/22 Full Review Audience Member I love the 1st movie. It flows nicely and the music is great. The PROBLEM with 'Eddie Lives' is simple. It doesn't have Tom Berringer. The original movie wasn't about Eddie, it was about Word Man. When Eddie crosses his fingers and says "Words and music.." in the first film, that's a promise that was broken when the producers didn't get Berringer. I watch this movie periodically but it always points up the obvious: Most of the songs sound like Run Through The Fire. Editing is crude and production values are inconsistent. Too many cliched references to the original movie. The best actor in the whole thing is Anthony Sherwood who shows real Depth despite some very predictable and cloying lines to deliver. Somebody had a brain-wave when they came up with the Rick Diesel character. wow...LOL Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable if you like 80s music. Feels a mix of The Boss and John Mellencamp. Good fun for a 80s flick. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie. One of my all time favs!
