The film then goes from a chamber drama to something larger; it doesn't always work. The poetry and the performances... though, and they make the thoughtful and stylish The Edge of Love something more than just another British costume drama.

Lots of effort and honestly some beautiful photography/lighting but the script made the girls seem superficial. I still like Thomas’ poems, however was he that shallow? I longed for another script with intelligent exchanges to live up to the acting talent. I say less boudoir and more insightful repertoire. Grateful for the opportunity to watch Cillian Murphy as a young actor.

I can see why certain people don't like this movie - for it to be good you'll need to understand the depth of the story. Keira and Cillian are most definitely a duo worth watching.

I actually really enjoyed this movie. It has a strong cast and you can see some depth in Murphy's character and knightley's. I do think Dylan came off a bit shallow and wasn't very entertaining. But I definitely think the move was enjoyable.
