When a movie turns on its protagonists so early in the game, it’s really difficult to unglaze the eyes—but exceedingly easy for the brain to play “Spot the Reference” as a way of coping for the remaining seventy minutes.

A strange and surreal film, Eight Eyes is grim, grimy, gory and oddly gratifying. Certainly a movie for those of a hardened disposition, Eight Eyes marks a great first feature for Vinegar Syndrome.

This film punches so far above it's weight. Everyone really brings everything they have to this. You'll know very quickly if this is for you, I viewed it on it's own terms and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well-crafted tribute to Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, done Serbian style. Evocative cinematography and music, gritty and grueling story of American tourists getting caught in a trap by an insane family. Not startlingly original with all of the references, but a unique combination of influences nonetheless. Effective ending as well.
