It's not awful, but it falls short of belonging on the shelf with the other holiday movie mainstays. Go to Full Review

The special effects, especially in a final battle against the villain's army of enchanted toys, are impressive, but the chaotic plot exhausts itself long before then. Go to Full Review

Less-discerning audiences might be mollified by Elf Me’s silliness for a bit, but it’s far too derivative of other, better movies to wholeheartedly recommend. Go to Full Review

Lory R 01/29/2024 Well acted, well shot, well dubbed film. Fun and dreamy, full of quotes and homages to films from the 80s. It's great for kids and adults. Very cool in English and Japanese too See more Gareth D 12/18/2023 Absolutely awful, somewhat original but totally over the top characters and cheesy acting. See more Patty M 11/29/2023 If you are going to watch one new Christmas film this season, DO NOT MAKE IT THIS ONE! I just kept thinking, "What are we watching?" This is not a funny movie. I can't believe this movie even exists. See more Luca D 11/26/2023 The movie is intended for a young audience, of course, but seen in this light, it's a nice one. First of all, we must consider that it's an Italian movie and it's a fantasy one, not a bare comedy. In recent decades, Italians only produced comedy, so the fact that this movie has special effects and fantasy attire it's already a win! That said, Lillo is a magnificent actor, and he can elevate the entire movie on his own. Elf Me also has a nostalgic appeal for 40-year-olds like me: there are scenes similar to the Goonies, E.T., Blob, and so many movies from the nineties! All in all, it's a very cool movie, and it deserves the big screen, honestly, even if it was released for Amazon Prime only. See more Read all reviews
