Audience Member A beautiful passed first half full of originality and intrigue. This film feels very much before it's time. Reminds me of Stranger Things and End of the fucking world. The ending is a gore fest and a little rushed, feels like two films, but It's quirky enough and beautifully shot compare to most low budget uk horror of the time. Jamie is actually a pretty solid lead and I feel a powerful central female character, that in todays standards would have been praised in this roll. I need to find out what the film makers did next. Pretty cool debut. The acting is ok, and the area it was filmed in was quite nice...a great backdrop for this film. Elfie Hopkins is likeable, as is her best friend Parker. The Gammons are quirky and interesting, and really are the only part of the movie that is interesting...especially when they start playing head games with Elfie. This movie could have been great with some tweaking. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member i had such high hopes for this movie, as ray winstone was in it and directed it, but to be honest, it was really disappointing. his daughter stars in it, and is a god awful actress. the film is terrible. the sort of movie you expect to see on the shelf in poundland! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member With both wins tones in I expected this to be a lot more violent and fun. It has some gory but nowhere near enough! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member one of the worst movies I have ever seen, it was so bad I let the cinema socking acting shocking every thing . Guy Lodge Variety A grim horror-comedy that amuses only when it tries to alarm. Apr 24, 2012 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard A poor screenplay and some dubious acting in subsidiary roles make for a misguided horror thriller. Rated: 1/5 Apr 20, 2012 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It doesn't totally take off until the final act, but there's evidence here that Ryan Andrews will become a force to be reckoned with. Rated: 2/5 Apr 19, 2012 Full Review Joseph Walsh CineVue The horror is rarely scary - even at the most basic of levels - almost certainly a consequence of Andrews' decision to cross too many genre boundaries. Rated: 2/5 Aug 23, 2018 Full Review Philip French Observer (UK) I felt like taking my felt pen to the film's poster and turning the overindulged star's name into "J'aime pas Winstone". Apr 22, 2012 Full Review Matthew Turner ViewLondon Elfie Hopkins has a promising set-up and some suitably quirky set design but it's let down by a disappointing script and a one-note performance from Jaime Winstone.
