Audience Member This movie has a good plot-base and interesting detail when it defines the life of Eliza (a mentally disturbed woman who searches for love), astrology, and the occult. The sub-plot is details the criminal plan Tommy, played by Tommy Lee Jones. He seeks to blow up a bridge that he's constructing over the Indian reserve on which his grandmother lives. The movie has a David Lynch sort of feel in more than a few instances, which makes it difficult to watch all in one sitting. The conclusion of the story is not great, nor resolusive, but the viewer is grateful, in a way, that the story is over. The characters are all off in the head, sometimes the lighting was the worst I've ever seen in a movie, and either the editing was messed up or it was my dvd because a couple seconds of so many scenes kept repeating, then near the end everything just went insane. Strangely, though, I really liked the movie. Odd.
