Manuel Betancourt Variety “Else” may try patience as it hopscotches from genre to genre before landing on a bleak meditation. Oct 10, 2024 Full Review Chase Hutchinson TheWrap It takes us into a world that is far bigger than us and often beyond easy understanding, creating arresting visuals that implant themselves in your mind. Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast Trippy gross visuals and makeup FX do its best to carry the day but the film just can’t get an emotional grip on its central couples and bails way too soon on their journey opting for a climax about getting sucked in which has been our problem all along. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 22, 2024 Full Review David Cuevas Next Best Picture As a debut, Emin’s ambitions are admirable. However, the hallucinogenic visuals fall short of greatness when trying to engage with “Else” on both an intellectual and emotional plane. Rated: 4/10 Sep 24, 2024 Full Review Rachel West AWFJ.org Despite some interesting set pieces and special effects, Else doesn’t have much to offer horror lovers. Stunningly surreal visuals, with an original take on an apocalypse, pandemic movie, this is deeply philosophical film from Thibaul Emin, a director to watch, I think. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review prawnda s here's a simple rule for the director: if you want to be taken seriously, don't include AI artwork in your products. it's not just divisive but also financially shortsighted to use technology that is being boycotted by so much of the population. if nobody ends up watching or even liking your movie, maybe you can take a guess as to why Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Read all reviews
