Audience Member Embrace the Panda has a bit of a quirky editing style fitting with the presentation of Turning Red and has nice informative details about the development of the movie and the inspiration behind it, especially as Pixar's first female-led project. It's a good Disney+ documentary about the surprisingly divisive anime-inspired Pixar movie but it's nowhere near as informative as the six-part Frozen II documentary nor as compelling a watch as the Assembled docs for the MCU's Phase 4 instalments. A good, albeit not great, watch that reminds me that I should really get to watching The Pixar Story one day. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review heather m A beautifully made tribute to a history-making team at Pixar making a movie during an unprecedented global emergency while balancing family/motherhood and the demands of creative work. If you are looking for interviews with the voice cast this isn't the doc for you, but if you really want insight into the people actually behind the Pixar films you will enjoy this in-depth look. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The documentary was bad but the movie was good Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Light and entertaining. Perfect for this time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Coming from a young adult I can say I loved how the protagonist had a stable support system and it was refreshing to see such a variety of characters and body types among the main cast. I hope future movies continue to normalize it and not stick to skinny builds. Overall great movie good message, relatable especially when it comes to anxiety/handling controlling parents and high expectations.
