Curtis H “Enamorada” had absolutely stellar performances by both María Felix and Pedro Armendáriz. The film is rich in culture, history, and symbolism. There were a lot of beautiful cinematic moments throughout as well. I absolutely could not pick out anything I disliked from “Enamorada”. It contained suspense, comedy, bittersweet and heartfelt moments, and beautiful music… along with a really well-written script. The ending was truly endearing and though I did feel José Juan was a very rough character, you begin to feel for him near the end of the film. María Felix was incredibly entertaining as Beatriz. I simply could not take my eyes off of her when she was on screen. She had a presence that was very hard to come by in the acting world, and her dramatic scenes were absolutely amazing. She also had the ability to emote through her eyes and her facial expressions, which is a true talent. Needless to say, “Enamorada” is easily a 10/10 for me. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic movie from the begining to the end. Every single aspect of this film is a masterpiece: the direction, the script, the performances, the romance, the drama, the cinematography is sublime, the sets. Really wonderful.
