Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A floundering low-budget version of Herman Melville's 1846 classic Typee, that however looks great in Technicolor. Rated: C Jul 12, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

ashley h Enchanted Island is a fantastic film. It is about two 19th-century sailors who jump ship only to discover their tropical paradise is a cannibal stronghold. Dana Andrews and Don Dubbins give terrific performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Allan Dwan did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this movie because of the adventure and drama. Enchanted Island is a must see. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Andrews and Powell must have been in desperate need of cash to sign on to this. This also showcases the fact that women could not take charge of their careers and present reasonable, profit-making projects to the powers-that-be. They waited around for a script to be sent to them. In retrospect, this was a big mistake. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Hokum that is only fit for the bottom portion of a Saturday afternoon double bill. This was Jane Powell's last theatrical feature to date, she should have stopped one sooner. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
