Audience Member Amazing experience throughout the entire movie, from the beginning to the very end- it is simply brilliant. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is absolutely not about Jake's work as a budding film director and how he sorts out his personal and work life. It is the farcical story of a romance gone wrong from a man's perspective. The film director job is just part of the random background fluff for the real story. This movie is brilliantly funny. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie about a music video director's struggles with his love life and the studio execs backing his 1st real film is decent, despite some scenes that don't work and the absence of charismatic actors (apart from Bono); this film is actually directed by a music video director: probably the best thing about the film is the unusual and somewhat surreal narrative, some cool stop-action/sped up urban photography and other slick visual gimmicks... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A pleasant surprise! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member

The character of Evan's Husband (Jake's brother-in-law screenwriter) is based on the writer/director's actual brother in law, screenwriter Scott Frank.

Kelly MacDonald (Pia) was considered for the role of Stella.

Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Joanou's work has always suffered from excessive style and pretention, and this movie, though more personal than his studio pictures, is no exception.
