Bill teaches us to never give up & to have the determination to lift ourselves up after we encounter difficult moments in our lives. The film is beautifully filmed and a must see! This documentary centering on the experiences of an athlete who perseveres through the unique world of extreme athletics beautifully parallels the backdrop of persevering through hardship in the mundane world. Epic Bill teaches and reminds us of the growth that stems from failure. While the world of extreme athletics is not an experience that is relatable for many, the experience of failing is one we can all relate to, and which we can benefit from being reminded to get up and try again. It is the journey of a man who took hard knocks and transformed those hard knocks into motivation. He decides he will never give up, no matter how often he fails. Each failure is transformed into a learning experience in preparation for the next attempt. It is a very interesting look into the head of an extreme athlete. What motivates someone to take on ridiculous, body destroying challenges? Where will it take him over time? In any case, along the way he accumulates a huge quantity of powerful memories. This is living life as intensely as you can. Constantly reaching in to bring out every ounce of motivation. Savoring any success because it is the fruit of enormous labor.
