You had me at "my Chevy shook a shit"! This movie has a plot only a mother could love, but that's what makes it good. Usually when the masses love a movie, it's plot is fairly innocuous and predictable; boring to me. What a simple, entertaining, movie. Love it!

While this movie isn't for everyone, and goes way way way off the deep end, there are no doubts that this is one of the best movies that captures the culture of yoopers and subverts it for a hilarious hunting movie. Also the best fart scene in all of Cinema.

If you have stayed in or are from a small town in America (I'd also assume in Canada) you will see the brilliant charm this movie carries. It's a creative tale about tradition, family, and togetherness hidden under a thick accent of hunting, farting, and sexual humor told by half-wit characters willing to do anything to get a buck in their family's hunting cabin. I personally love this movie. I found it randomly on a streaming service years ago and decided to watch it on the count that I love Jeff Daniels as an actor. From that moment on it was stuck in the back of my head. This movie is filled with one liners that will hang in your mind days after you watch it. if you have a group of friends that hang out and watch movies together and endlessly quote the ones you've seen, add this to your list.
