Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The minor desert adventure film is slow paced and its story is uninspired, but it's beautiful to look at, well-acted and competently made. Rated: B Sep 22, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member ★★1/2 (out of four) A fair adaption from the novel by Michael Barret entitled "Appointment in Zahrain". It offers some exciting moments, but the plot is too thin and uneventful to carry an entire 90 minute movie. Yul Brynner plays a prisoner about to be executed in the middle east. He is broken out on the way to his execution by an activist student (Sal Mineo) and an american (Jack Warden). They all take a hostage (Madelyn Rhue) and head for the border. A chase ensues. Not a lot wrong with it, but it's not very memorable. Brynner, Mineo, Warden, and Rhue are all good, but their characters never find their footing.
