Chloe Leeson Screen Queens annoying characters pulled straight out of the worst noughties slasher film and a script that feels underdeveloped, Escape Room has neither the tricks nor the timing to stand out. Oct 29, 2018 Full Review Jonathan Hatfull SciFiNow The performances are mostly fine but a couple of fun gory surprises can't get rid of the nasty taste Escape Room leaves in your mouth and there's really not enough here to recommend it. Olivia R Absolutely horrible. Boring and slow. Characters are annoying and finishing the movie felt like a chore. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/08/25 Full Review Ralph R Escape Room (2017), directed by Will Wernick, takes a great concept and wastes it on mediocre execution. The movie struggles right from the start, with a painfully slow first half that does little to engage or build any meaningful tension. The character decisions often feel illogical and forced, making it hard to connect with their situations or take the stakes seriously. While the escape room premise had potential for creativity and suspense, the direction and pacing miss the mark, leaving the whole setup feeling flat and uninspired. The production quality doesn't help matters either. The sets and cinematography come across as average at best, lacking the polish or clever design you'd expect from a movie relying so heavily on its environment. It's clear the budget was limited, but the lack of creativity in working around those constraints is disappointing. Overall, it's a forgettable experience that fails to deliver on its premise. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/25 Full Review Smackie u Some of the worst acting and dialog I've ever witnessed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Steven t I like this type of deadly escape room style movies like this and cube. This one had a few good moments but overall just average at nest. The ending was terrible and about half the actors need to get better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review CATHERINE C Awful!!!! Predictable from the start… poor acting and worse … don’t bother Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review Cristina A A completely waste of time, poor script, bad acting and it just ending leaving me like WTF 🤦 ot worth it Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
