In the wake of the Civil War, ex-Confederate soldier Ben Lassiter (Victor Mature) and his 10-year-old daughter, Abbey (Reba Waters), are traveling through Nevada when they cross paths with sisters Martha (Faith Domergue) and Beth Drury (Elaine Stewart). Although Martha is embittered because her fiancé was killed by a Confederate during the war, she is forced to trust Ben when a band of Native Americans tries to attack the sisters, and the soldier offers his protection.
