The reign of House Targaryen begins with this prequel to popular HBO series "Game of Thrones;" based on George R.R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," "House of the Dragon" is set nearly 200 years before the events of "Game of Thrones," telling the story of the Targaryen civil war with King Viserys I Targaryen's children battling for control of the Iron Throne.

There’s little lightness, little love, and sex seems like a device to create more characters to kill, with blood and fire galore. Go to Full Review

All in all, House of the Dragon is a thrilling, emotionally devastating, and a visually stunning chapter in the saga. It delivers everything fans hoped for: spectacle, heartbreak, political intrigue, and dragons. Go to Full Review

There is nothing on television as lavish, knotty or spectacularly expensive-looking. Even when it makes you want to put your head through a wall. Go to Full Review

Bring the usurper to me! One of the best audio description tracks of 2026. An exceptional season. An absolute must watch. Go to Full Review

...the HBO series has managed to regain its momentum in its final stretch, and although these last few episodes have suggested something similar, the finale was one of those episodes that reminds us why we enjoy this story so much.[Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

This was a genuinely terrific episode of House of the Dragon, perhaps the best written of the season and one I enjoyed enough to watch twice before writing this recap. Go to Full Review

ARNEZ C @Arny6tearz 2h this show peak with season 2 this season its just way too much talking & not enough going on its just boring me GOT always had something happing & lots of action I see why this is ending with 4 hopefully it will be only 5 eps I dont want to watch people talk for a hour A & 15 mins See more Eddie B @RT72328980 3h Much more progress this season than the lat season but the wrap up wasnt as satisfying as the prior episodes but regardless makes me want more (Will definitely want to read the book before next season) See more John S @RT51943605 4h Dañaron por completos la serie. See more OOM P @OOMPod 6h House of the Dragon S3 was great overall. The story kept me invested with all the political maneuvering, betrayals, and the war between the different sides, even if it sometimes falls into the same Game of Thrones formula of nobody trusting anybody and everyone being petty 😂. The characters continue to be one of the strongest parts, especially watching how the crown and power start changing Rhaenyra. Visually, this show is still incredible. The dragons, atmosphere, environments, and action sequences were amazing. My biggest issue was the pacing. Even though most episodes were good to great, some moved VERY slowly or felt repetitive with the same political conversations. I still don't think anything tops S1, but S3 proves House of the Dragon can stand on its own as a successful Game of Thrones spinoff. 8.3/10 See more T F @TruthSeeker1000 14h For the first time since GOT, I got that feeling in my stomach.m again. I went in to this season with little excitement. But the first episode gripped me. I immediately rewatched the first two seasons and enjoyed both more than I did the first time I watched them. The acting is top notch across the board. I find myself not wanting to miss a single word said. It’s not perfect, or quite on the level of prime GOT. But it ain’t far off. See more Tina P @RT63297202 16h Изключително разочарование е цялата поредица, не само сезон 3! Да разполагаш с такъв потенциал от идеи и наследство от "Игра на тронове" и да създадеш едно нищо??!!! Не мога да повярвам! По-добре да спрат! See more Read all reviews
