Audience Member Nevermind the reviews from a decade ago - this movie has aged well!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member By far the worst movie I've seen in my life of 67 years. The only good thing about it was Christopher Walken's excellent, as usual, performance. The worst thing of all was Jeffrey Goldschrafe as the boy, Jim. They were really scraping the bottom of the barrel when they found that kid. I don't mean to be cruel, but he was really THAT BAD, and it's no wonder he never worked again. He, most of all, made the entire movie unbelievable, as he never provided any reason why either of his parents would bother saving him from a witch or anything else. Truly, any random roadkill the producers could have picked up would have provided a better performance. All I can think was that he must have been a relative of one of the film's VIPs, but that's not enough reason to let him ruin your movie. Some of the other actors provided pretty credible performances with the material they had to work with, but it wasn't enough to salvage the film. Most of all, I feel sorry for Christopher Walken for being associated with this movie. Even though his salary was the biggest expense of the production (good for him), it must have been embarrassing to be associated with such a disaster. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny premise, perfect for a bad movie night with friends. It's also the only instance I've found of a Christopher Walken movie that has a character do a Christopher Walken impersonation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The Eternal (Michael Almereyda, 1998) [originally posted 22Feb2000] Also known as Trance. I picked this one up because I saw a preview for it and the premise looked interesting-- family goes to Ireland to dry out (oh, yeah, like THAT would work) and stay with the crazy uncle (Christopher Walken, the only A-list actor in the film). The crazy uncle has the well-preserved body of a two-thousand-year-old druidess in the basement, and hey! she just happens to look like the wife. (You can see where this is going, I'm sure.) We've seen it a hundred times. And it was done better a hundred times. Perhaps the longest ninety-five minutes I've spent in front of a television so far this year. Avoid like the plague. * Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member What can I say about âEternal â(aka Trance or The Eternal Kiss of the Mummy)? Not much.
