After a painful breakup, Clementine (Kate Winslet) undergoes a procedure to erase memories of her former boyfriend Joel (Jim Carrey) from her mind. When Joel discovers that Clementine is going to extremes to forget their relationship, he undergoes the same procedure and slowly begins to forget the woman that he loved. The cast is exhilarating to see all these years later. Winslet and Carrey are beautifully flawed together throughout the film. Really loved the rewatch. The score seemed used as if it were a horror thriller at times. Fun energy with the leads unrelenting optimism towards each other. With those brutal moments of truth against one another when needed. Still a great film.

Joel is my spirit animal. Jim Carrey does a fantastic job playing a serious role. Kate Winslet is really good as Clementine. Elijah Wood does a good job being a character you will hate. Been meaning to rewatch this since my break up. Kinda wish I could have my memories of my ex girlfriend erased. Loved getting to see this movie again in theatres.

Great film. From story to pacing to images. This is one of those films that shows how original films make the best movies. From the pacing to the individual shots all contributing to the film as a whole. Four out of four stars. Amazing.

I’m only eighteen. Don’t watch a whole lotta movies. This one came out when I was one, and I always saw people go on about it when I would look for new movies on Instagram or something like that. It was on Netflix, but I didn’t watch it on there. Peaked my interest, and today it came out for an anniversary or something in theaters. Beautiful film. Many twists I didn’t expect. Dope cinematography. Kate Winslet is beautiful, and her and Jim Carrey were pretty hilarious throughout. It was endearing to see a woman call out a man for his romantic projections, and him to acknowledge doing such and wanting to change. Much love.
