This movie accentuates much of the technical/scientific aspect of space travel but, at the same time, makes for a compelling look at the human aspects of that particular kind of stress. I interpreted the appearance of a somewhat recognizable "alien" life form at the end of the film as simply confirming that life did indeed exist on Europa. Overall, a refreshingly intelligent film.

For those who can sit through this film till the end, it is a good storyline. The problem with the movie is getting that far. It is extremely boring for long periods.

Europa Report is a haunting, intelligent, and underappreciated gem of hard science fiction. It doesn’t rely on spectacle, but on realism and quiet wonder. For fans of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Moon, or The Martian, this is a must-watch!!.

I’ll admit I didn’t care for this movie too much the first time I watched it, but I gave it a second chance and I was floored by how much I enjoyed it. Tense, bleak and suffocating beyond belief - but it’s the structure and the acting performances that really drive this one to success! Visually stunning with a more than satisfying conclusion to the story… which isn’t NOT always the car with sci-fi & horror movies!!
