Jul 13 I’ll admit I didn’t care for this movie too much the first time I watched it, but I gave it a second chance and I was floored by how much I enjoyed it. Tense, bleak and suffocating beyond belief - but it’s the structure and the acting performances that really drive this one to success! See more Jul 5 People saying this movie was refreshing to emphasize science fiction, only pretend to be interested in science. The movie is void of science in ridiculous ways and filled with nonsensical jargon to confuse simple minded people and the movie uses impractical logic that they wouldn't think twice about (lack of any safety protocols, deathly crash landing a small movement of the ship in 1/6th of Earth's gravity, electromagnetic interference that conveniently only affects the viewers cameras and not anything on the ship, the ship filling with water from the bottom despite the top maintaining air and oxygen for the crew, etc.)... The entire movie is slow paced, without any development of characters and very little plot. The characters are lifeless and have no emotional weight to them. The film scoring feels like stock music of lydian scale space music. The biggest fail is the use of documentary style/found footage, once again to confuse people to think it's a science fiction movie, and makes for tiresome experience. See more Peter P Jun 8 i would not sit through it again, but glad i watched it once. the characters didnt actually make me care about them. the constant flashing back and forth deadened the momentum of the plot progression and the rising tension. and the big reveal at the end looked like something on earth. just not too satisfying. but still overall glad i watched it. See more Bryan S May 27 It gets off to a weak start, but gets better as it goes along. I appreciated the realism as compared to what we normally see in movies.
