Audience Member Un film ben realizzato, interessanti riprese e grande fotografia. Una carenza: l'esperienza da parte dei personaggi è poco caratterizzata, è una lunga fila di eventi, mancano le sensazioni. He had been left for dead by other climbers. Then, nearly blind, his hands literally frozen solid, Beck stood up, left his pack... and desperately tried to walk. Beck Weathers: All I knew was, that as long as my legs would run, and I could stand up... I was gonna move toward that camp. And if I fell down, I was gonna get up. And if I fell down again, I was gonna keep moving, until I hit that camp... or I walked off the face of that mountain. He visto tantos documentales acerca del Everest que siento que ha estado ahí, en la montaña más alta del mundo. En Everest IMAX, las tomas son las mejores que he visto y te transportan. Es lamentable que las narraciones se sacan completamente de las imágenes. Son cursis y no aportan nada. Casi hubiese preferido que mostraran esas tomas majestuosas, con música de fondo. Una de las mejores cosas de los documentales de montañismo es mostrar sus experiencias tanto positivas y negativas, porque este deporte es exigente no solo físicamente sino mentalmente, entonces termina teniendo un gran impacto emocional en los montañistas, pero en esta película decidió enfocarse en otros temas que no le aportan nada a la historia. Everest IMAX perdió la oportunidad de lograr un documental épico, y es una lástima porque esta montaña con toda su majestuosidad se lo merece.
