Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Charming. Date night with DVD and popcorn on the couch kind of movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Silly, breezy, insignificant, but not totally unwatchable. The character arcs are totally unconvincing. Upside: Cerina Vincent is smoking hot. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Frances H Okay romcom with some cute moments. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/08/13 Full Review Audience Member Finally about to see this film, as Cerina Vincent is one of my favorites to watch. And I can say, she is 100% adorable in this movie, the very best thing about it...but... This movie is pretty awful. I think it's trying way to hard to be another My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and some of the crazy supporting cast actually works and makes the film watchable. But the lead character is awful. For starters, he is a huge stalker. Chasing after, and even trying to propose, to a woman that dumped him EIGHT years ago and has moved on with an entire family no less. So he treats Cerina's character like garbage thinking this old flame will one day chose him again, which she kind of does for a beat, but then at that point he wants Cerina...who has some guy on the other side of the world as well. So basically it's a love story shrouded in affairs with a lead actor that comes off as complete pig and is so unlikable. I just felt so bad for Cerina to be in this trash. Lisa Schwarzbaum Entertainment Weekly A clarification is in order. Nobody wants to be these Italians. Rated: D Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Micah Towery Slant Magazine This particular film surely straddles the line between 'romp' and 'zany,' and maybe even deserves that most hallowed of accolades: 'zany romp.' Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 8, 2008 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter This lame-brain romantic comedy strives hard for a shambling charm, but is unlikely to prove appealing to even the most undemanding of audiences. Sep 8, 2008 Full Review Marina Pliatsikas FILMINK (Australia) While not being entirely original or clever in its exploration of modern Italian culture, it's a light-hearted film which delivers just enough giggles to keep it upbeat and kind of cute. Jul 3, 2009 Full Review Louise Keller Urban Cinefile It's all a bit offbeat and as a consequence we are more than ready to chuckle and open up our hearts Jun 27, 2009 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures Instead of making a likeable main character, the filmmakers give us the egotistical, brash, rude and obnoxious character of Jake.
