Audience Member Wow. Just wow. Not too many films scare me, but this one surprisingly did. The story makes no sense & honestly, I'm left utterly confused. But for a low budget film that keeps you on the edge of your seat? This is a good one. I've been a horror fan for 12 years, it's unfortunate it took so long for me to find this one. Next girls night, totally putting this one on, it'll be a hoot & a half that's for sure. It unfortunately follows a lot of the sub-genre's cliches, which definite;y gets irritating after a while. But among all the frustrations there are a few scares to be had, most from (cheap) jumpscares that worked on me. The acting isn't bad. As usual there's a dick who pisses everyone off, a couple vulnerable females, etc. If you're a hardcore FF fan who wants to give another film a shot, this may appeal to you. But non-FF fans should definitely stay away from this. It starts of predictably enough, with four campers getting the bejeesus scared out of them after spotting a mysterious creature in the hills outside of Los Angeles. The second half of the film devolves into a totally nonsensical rollercoaster of horror, but the breathless action and non-stop scares will have you sticking around through the credits in an attempt to make sense of the mindlessly fun, pulse-pounding insanity you just witnessed. Unfortunately it was the bad kind of dumb and I don't think I'll ever watch anything from these guys ever again. It started out promising enough and it was even creepy at times, but wow did they just completely lose their way once the girls left the RV. What a bad kind of mess.
