eVil Sublet is a great take on the housing crisis around the world and particularly in NYC as well as all those haunted house movies that make viewers scream at the screen and get annoyed as to why the folks being haunted and hunted don’t just leave.

Every now and then, you run across a smaller independent film that isn't merely "fun for a small independent film," but just plain a fun film. This is such a one! It's creepy, it's funny, it's snappy, it's well styled and acted, and it keeps its momentum throughout. Lots of delightful homages, too, as a nice bonus for not only film fans, but also horror readers! Good for a group watch or by yourself.

Funny, fast-paced - but also effectively creepy and suspenseful - this indie comedy horror is a rousing good time. The acting, writing, and directing were all top-notch. New York couple Ben and Alex, desperate to find something affordable in the Manhattan housing market, settle on a fully furnished sublet ... with a horrifying history. They quickly learn that what haunts the apartment building is trying to add them to its roster of mysterious deaths and claimed souls.
