Empire Magazine Rated: 3/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review Leslie Felperin Variety Overall, pic works well as a road movie, swinging and easy for the most part but gaining a certain gravitas in its later stretches. Jul 15, 2005 Full Review John Terauds Toronto Star Through facial expression, gesture and deed, Gatlif manages to coax such a deep humanity out of his characters' situations that dialogue becomes superfluous. Audience Member Outstanding French movie. Great opening sex scene. Rent it and you won't be disappointed Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member For Exils, I will say that it is the Rose in the Desert. The potrayal of the two characters traveling from one to other place is beautiful. Background score and cinematography is another essence of the film. You'll enjoy it if you can relate to the gypsy mood. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Great topographic filmography and interesting main characters. Worth watching if just to hear a brilliant soundtrack of Algerian beats and rhythms and Roma synths. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member simile ai film di Fatih Akim, bisogna recuperare i flm più vecchi che dice che sono pure meglio Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member it's artistic..but I didn't like it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Moi j'aime beaucoup M. Gatlif ainsi que ses films ! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
