Exit 8 makes for a unique immersive and repetitive experience with a mood-setting soundtrack and sound design (the clacking heels will get on your nerves) that’ll stick in your subconscious. It’s a “videogame” movie with a lot on its mind. Go to Full Review

Adapting the hit game with an engrossing aesthetic, Exit 8 is tedious, but smart enough to use that to its advantage. Go to Full Review

... a successfully chilling thriller, an unnerving horror, and a surprisingly heartfelt exploration of life, regret, and self-reflection. Go to Full Review

Despite shoddy effects derailing tension, Exit 8 remains an uncomfortable, odd flick, making it one of the better video game adaptations to come out, relying on the sterile, tiled visuals of the station on repeat to amplify the fear. Go to Full Review

matthias s @Thescreenasvor Feb 4 Exit 8 gets a weirdly conflicted 2.5 stars from me. I absolutely loved the videogame, so I went in super hyped, and to be fair this is a pretty faithful adaptation. Visually and tonally it nails that eerie loop vibe, and I liked how it digs a bit deeper into the lore and expands the world. But the big problem is obvious: the game works because you’re inside it. You’re tense, watching every detail. As a movie, that interactivity is gone, and the script just isn’t strong enough to carry the concept on its own. It honestly feels stretched. I think this would’ve worked way better as a tight short film. They tried, and I respect it, but it’s a bit of a bummer. See more zyiad a @Zzzzzzzz864 Jan 22 The movie is so bad that if I could rate it 0 Stars I would be more than willing to do it. Wasted 1 hr and 30 minutes of my life. A random man lost in an maze with no way out, what a stupid plot. Definitely DON'T recommend this movie at all to someone that has positive energy because they lose that energy VERY quickly. See more Gabriel T @GabrielFagundes Jan 4 It has an amazing concept and good scary scenes, but I still think it's still a mid movie. REASON: 1- I don't like horror movies with kids. You expect them to cry, scream, get into panic mode, etc. But, because they can't act like an adult can act, they tend to be just "cuties," which is completely unreasonable; 2- The scary parts give in space to a sentimentalist journey, so I think the movie doesn't reach its potential. I expect it to be more action-packed and exciting. It gets boring sometimes if you don't engage with the main character's internal journey; 3- The "Paradiso Films'" watermark doesn't help to improve its visual appeal See more acsdoug D @acsdoug Dec 17 My initial intrigue turned into complete indifference. I just didn't care about what happened to any of these people. Maybe an explanation of why the exit was so elusive would have kept me interested. See more Pasint L @PasintLimkool Dec 4 A cinematic masterpiece, no jumpscare or anything, just a well thought out plot and atmosphere. There's not even any fast forward or stuff like that, just one uninterrupted continuous story. See more Read all reviews
