A would-be thriller that leans a little too hard into its hero's existential crisis, Exit Plan will leave most viewers looking for the door.

Audience Member Loved it. We talked about the film for quite some time after watching it. Very interesting ending. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Manny P I get that the source material is inherently depressing, but surely some brevity would have gave the audience some sporadic interludes ? Having been married for a long time, my wife ( and probably a large percentage of spouses ) would know something was off kilter. They would also be present at any medical examinations ? The movie, the disease and the delivery here, are a big drag. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Peter Travers Rolling Stone Not even the indisputable charisma of 'Game of Thrones' star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will get you through this Danish downer about a hotel for suicides. Even if you're watching at home, you'll be running for the exits. Rated: 1/5 Jun 13, 2020 Full Review Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times There is real potential in this premise, and a few flickers of genuine artfulness, but the storytelling is frustratingly abstruse, making for an "Exit Plan" that's a real missed opportunity. Jun 13, 2020 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times A starkly beautiful film... Rated: 3/4 Jun 12, 2020 Full Review Zachary David Rogers Film Inquiry Exit Plan perfectly balances the suspense of a thriller while asking deep questions about how we die. If the topics are not too heavy, Exit Plan is enjoyable and thought-provoking. Mar 7, 2021 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The morose atmosphere drags the film down even more when the movie is already boring and aimless. [Main character] Max wants to be put out of his misery. Viewers of Exit Plan will feel another kind of misery from watching this film. Jul 22, 2020 Full Review Thom Ernst Original Cin With its somewhat plodding pace and shifting timelines, Exit Plan can be hard to follow, but this hallucinogenic, slow-burn thriller is worth following.
