This earnest documentary about assisted suicide plays like a stodgy promotional film for the Swiss organization Exit A.D.M.D., which helps terminally ill patients end their own lives. Go to Full Review

If the film's lack of emotionalism deprives it of dramatic energy, it also forces viewers to react to a highly charged issue intellectually and on the merits, rather than out of manipulated passion. Go to Full Review

06/11/2007 This film was tremendously emotional & thought-provoking as it documents the decision-making & trials of people who have life-threatening illness & the volunteers who renders the "assistance", an argument that sits delicately on the fence regarding euthanesia (assisted suicide). Many of the scenes were very sobering; all leading to the finale, the purpose of which is to end the needless suffering of the sick individuals & thereby eliminating the burden on their loved ones. The film is not meant to be taken lightly & most people may find the subject very disturbing. Although this film is highly recommended, I also strongly caution that viewers decide wisely should they choose to watch this film. See more Read all reviews
