Deb K No chemistry between the lead actors! And the audience is really never given a reason to care about any of the characters. If you are looking for a space filler over the Holidays, it will suffice. Other than that, pass. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/26/24 Full Review Tea M I went to watch it with my bf. Expected some fun romcom but it just wasn't matching up. I don't mind that it was predictable but it was just off. Chemistry was not there and a lot of things seemed more forced than funny. My bf was keeping count of good jokes and by the end of the move he got to 7... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Delaney L this movie was terrible. the characters had zero chemistry and honestly i was just counting down the minutes until it was over. the main girl, allie, had the most unflattering hair, and her acting was just as unbearable. graham was very good to look at, but that’s as far as he goes. i was really waiting for the story line to pick up but it never did. there was not a single moment in the film where i was excited to see what would happen next. it jumped around so many times i was about ready to turn it off. and the end was just as disappointing as the rest of the movie. the siblings were so unnecessary to the story line and just pissed me off everytime they were on the screen. the writers tried so hard to make it funny but it was just painful. overall this movie had me ready to go to sleep because i was so bored and uninvested in the characters. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Audience Member This movie… I can’t. It’s so bad. The woman that they cast is not cute enough to act like that. The script sucks ass. It’s not funny. I’ve never written a movie review before but for this I had too. Everyone in the movie is so annoying. There’s also almost no back story to anyone. Some car salesman shows up on Christmas Day cause he doesn’t have anywhere else to go? Idk. It makes no sense. Every joke they tried to write in made it even worse. When the main “couple” started kissing I got uncomfortable. It felt like watching a middle school play. Weird asf. The girl is such an awful actor I actually thought the ending of the movie was a joke. I couldn’t believe it when. When anyone talks I cringe. And it’s not even all the actor’s fault. The writers of this movie must have been 60 years old and high. I never once smiled. Any one of these reviews that says it’s a perfect Christmas rom-com has either never seen a movie before, is 40 years old, or genuinely has no sense of humor. I would not recommend this movie to my worst enemy because I don’t want the producers of this movie to think it was a hit and make something else. This is so bad. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Angel G Childish and annoying. I’m not catholic but it was ver disrespectul with the catholic church - they joke around the nativity and also when they have the communion bread. You don’t need to be religious to realize that those moments are disrespectful. Also, the story doesn’t make sense: why your family would invite your exfiancée for Christmas considering that person decided to break up? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/27/24 Full Review julie b The premise of this is silly but it’s cute and good to watch while doing xmas baking. My mom loved it. My favourite part was when my mom said “this could happen to you”. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews
