Geneva H There are many inaccuracies in this movie. Amish teens are encouraged to go experience the English world prior to being baptized. They are only shunned if they have been baptized. Church services are held in the homes of the congregation on a rotating basis. Men sit on one side and women on the other. They can ride in cats but cannot drive. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Robin M I love this movie! one of my fav "go to"'s.. Great acting.. Great storyline.. Just a great chick flick..love the ending.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/02/23 Full Review julie d Do some basic research on a culture before making a movie about it. Amish do not do immersive baptism, do ride in cars and teens are usually allowed to walk alone together. That is all in the first 5 minutes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Hannah is forced to decide between life on her Amish colony or life in the big city with all the trappings of modern life. I was a little disappointed in the script. Unless you are Amish, the decision was obvious. They should have written it so that the options were a little more equal.
